Business at the speed of thought

How much would you pay for a glimpse of the future? More importantly if you saw the future would you take advantage of it, or would this just be another missed opportunity. Like the stock you should have sold or the land you could have bought.

Last week our team got our act together and became part of the Platinum Control Panel Beta group. Word of Advise for people thinking about joining the Beta Group... Don't push button's without expecting something to happen!

I have to admit the first glimpse of the PCP my mind was stretched a little, but it didn't take me very long to wrap my head around it and start plugging in gold systems. I told him that unless we changed the title, meta and the keywords, the site had no chance of any type of recognition on Google. He asked me to contact the site designer, which I did, and ask him to make the necessary changes. These changes were only going to take this company under two minutes to change. I made the call and explained who I was, and what needed to be done. This guy told me that he would be glad to make the necessary changes, but it would cost an additional $2500! Follow along here with me. I was going to construct the title, meta and keywords in html format. All this guy had to do was ftp that information into the new site. This process literally takes seconds to accomplish, but he wanted an additional $2500 to make that change. This will give you an idea of how unscrupulous web designers can, and will, hold you for extortion money concerning your site.

The first rule of thumb here is that you should never give anyone ultimate control over your website. That site is your life blood on the Internet. Relinquishing that control to someone can spell disaster for you in the long term. Always keep control of your domains. Granted, you may give that SEO person the login so that changes can me made, but you will always have the control of making that site inaccessible should trouble arise.

Each of the stories within this article will not be fiction. These are actual people that I have had phone contact with over the years in seo. If you are going to hire a web designer, or an SEO Master, you should take responsibility for knowing some of the techniques so that you can ask logical questions. If you do not get a straight answer, then you have the option of saying "no thanks." and just walking away.

The products are top level and many distributors make money with the business. I joined a new conceptual plan whereby you purchased wheel slots. A wheel slot was 100 leads. The cost of these leads was $350 per. The leads were supposedly fresh, telephone surveyed leads. When I would make cold phone calls to these people, I learned that the only thing fresh about the leads was that I used fresh money to put yet another notch in the belt of the leads brokers.

In 1989, from the humblest of beginnings, Gary Young started what would become the world's leading essential oil company on a one-quarter acre farm in Spokane, Washington.

On this small plot of ground, Gary carefully cultivated lavender and other various herbs; with his background in agriculture, the growing season soon produced a robust, healthy crop. Fourteen boilers were built at the Mona site, which quickly became the main center of farming operations. Combined with St. Maries, the Young Living Lavender Farms own a total of over twelve distillers with boiler capacity over 115,400 liters.

The office in Riverton was quickly outgrown, affecting the move to Payson, Utah, into an old renovated schoolhouse. This drafty, brick building housed the company during several of its early growth years.

In 2003, the Lehi corporate office was opened and is the current world headquarters. Amway is a multi-level marketing, or network marketing company founded in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Rich DeVos. The company's name is a contraction of "American Way."Based in Ada, Michigan, the company and family of companies under Alticor reported sales of US$7.2 billion for the year ending December 31, 2007, marking the company's sixth straight year of growth. Its product lines include personal care products, jewelry, electronics, Nutrilite dietary supplements, water purifiers, air purifiers, insurance and cosmetics. Amway conducts business through a number of affiliated companies in more than ninety countries and territories around the world. In the United States and Canada it now operates as Quixtar.

Founding and expansion

Ja-Ri Corporation was the original multi-level marketing distributorship for Nutrilite nutritional products, founded by Jay Van Andel, Richard DeVos and Michael Pacetti in 1949.[3] Ja-Ri's name comes from the founders' first names, Jay and Richard. Friends since childhood, Van Andel and DeVos became business partners in endeavors such as a hamburger stand, air charter service, and a sailing business.

Ja-Ri was incorporated in 1959, and changed its name to "Amway" in 1963. The intent of Amway's founders was to create a business using a novel means of product distribution that facilitates entrepreneurship, understanding of economic management, and economic independence among its associates[citation needed] (i.e. distributors; the term currently in use is Independent Business Owners, or IBOs).

Their first product was the cleaner L.O.C. Originally sold by its inventor under the name Frisk, it was noticed by Nutrilite distributor Fred Hansen who brought it to Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel as a product that they could use to launch their own company. Van Andel and DeVos and some of their distributors including Hansen were getting frustrated by the seemingly inconsistent way Nutrilite founder Dr. Rehnborg wanted his products to be sold. DeVos and Van Andel bought the rights to make and distribute Frisk and changed the name to L.O.C. thereby beginning Amway. In 1964 the Amway Sales Corporation, Amway Services Corporation, and Amway Manufacturing Corporation, merged to form a single company.

Amway bought the Mutual Broadcasting System radio network in 1977 and sold it in 1985.

Amway expanded overseas to Australia in 1971, to Europe in 1973, to parts of Asia in 1974, to Japan in 1979, to Latin America in 1985, to China in 1995, to Africa in 1997, to Russia in 2005, and to Vietnam in 2008. Amway India was established in 1995 and commenced commercial operations in 1998.

The product line grew, with a new detergent SA8 added in 1960, and later the hair care range Satinique (1965) and Artistry(1968). Amway bought control of Nutrilite in 1972 and full ownership in 1994.

In February 1980, Mark Hughes began selling the original Herbalife weight loss product from the trunk of his car. By 1982, Herbalife had reached $2,000,000 in sales and opened a distributorship in Canada, its first outside of the United States. In 1985, the California Attorney General sued the company for allegedly making false claims about the efficacy of its products. Leads

If you are a home business owner, then you need leads to operate your business. A lead, or prospect, is simply someone who contacts you by phone, or by a contact form via your website. This person has seen obvious value in what your site has to offer, and they simply want to know more about what you are selling.

Most people tend to think of a lead as a hungry home business seeker. This is obviously not the case. Most are weary from the telemarketers inundating them with offers of all sorts of latest and greatest widgets to build a real work from home business on Google. I have personally witnessed many of these telemarketing seminars where they so-called super-networkers were really nothing but cheerleaders for their MLM company.

That lead can become a customer if you approach them in the right manner. Leads should be carefully scrutinized. They should also be developed over time in more of a relationship marketing venue. If you simply try to push your gig, most of them will block your calls.

A prospect who is earnestly seeking a home business venture will be open minded. They are probably surfing Google and will find all sorts of home business opportunities to choose from.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM Marketing)

Multi-level marketing (MLM), also known as Network Marketing is a business distribution model that allows a parent multi-level marketing company to market their products directly to consumers by means of relationship referral and direct selling.

Independent unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing referred to as distributors (associates, independent business owners, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the parent company and are rewarded a commission relative to the volume of product sold through each of their independent businesses (organizations). Independent distributors develop their organization by either building an active customer base, who buy direct from the parent company and / or by recruiting a downline of independent distributors who also build a customer base, expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a profit by retailing products which they purchased from the parent company at wholesale price.

The majority of MLM companies operate in much the same fashion. In other words, you cannot buy their products or sevices directly from the company. You must approach your buying from a distributor standpoint. Almost all the MLM companies in operation across the globe operate in this fashion. You cannot buy their goods, unless from obscure mom and pop type stores, anywhere else except through the network marketers who are promoting the business.

You can look at MLM from several different angles. Most of the products have a validity. Even though they are approached in a somewhat hype fashion, through the media, Internet advertising, websites and other ways of communication, their message is clear. The MLM companies as a general rule are not using any out of pocket money to support their business. This is where the network marketer, or distributor enters into the picture. Imagine having your own MLM company where people actually paid you to join your business. When you look at the MLM industry from this view, you begin to question if that business is right for you.

Do you want to be the sole provider for the MLM company's advertising? In all actuality, you, and thousands of others wanting to start their own business are paying the price for the company to remain in operation. Is that not like you going and actually paying someone to work for them? Should this not be the other way around? I have worked in many jobs in my life, but other than network marketing, I NEVER paid to be an employee of the company. This is precisely part of the problem with MLM network marketing companies. You are buying your job, in order to secure money to build your future. I must say that this can be a double edged sword and the unwary consumers of Google are being sucked dry from their hard earned money on a daily basis, because of their haste to join one company after another in search of the one that will actually work.

I have done precisely this same thing over the years. I have gone to work in building what I thought would be a great business, only to find precisely the problems listed above. I put in the time, I made the cold phone calls. I talked with many friends and family. I held teleconferencing phone sessions with hundreds of people telling them of the wonder advantages of being associated with this fine MLM company. At the end of the month, they paid me almost nothing for my effort, and I was out my time, resources and tremendous amounts of money, just to help those MLM companies to further their cause.

When I decided to move away from that type of business, and cut my own path on Google, I broke free from the stinking thinking of MLM marketing. I will be the first to tell you directly that I do NOT like the MLM industry as a whole. They convince people to join their business under the guise that you are becoming a business owner, but in reality, you are paying through the nose to help the owners of the network marketing company to pursue their own greedy path online.

You must ask yourself some very tough questions before joining any MLM network marketing company on Google.

1. Have you viewed the policies and procedures of that company before you blindly click the I Submit button to be charged for their services.

2. Have you, or are you, able to talk directly with the company, or perhaps even the owner, to ask them some direct questions about this business?

3. Do you blindly join one MLM business after another, thinking that this is the time, this is the pre-launch, this is that special business that will hold all the keys to your financial freedom?

4. Are you really gullible enough to listen to that so-called powerful upline sponsor?

5. Will you really believe that MLM super-networker when he or she tells you that they are making thousands and thousands of dollars each and every week, with little or no effort?

6. Are you prepared to spend your hard earned money on every new product or service coming into the MLM industry, with the hopes and prayers of making substantial money back on that investment?

7. Are you weary from the struggle of trying to promote your business online, with little or no success?

8. Have you been given the best (or so they tell you) and most appealing website ever designed, to convince people that your powerful business is like no other in existence?

9. Have you been told to gather just 10 people together on a conference call, and your guru marketing legend upline sponsor will close the sale for you?

10. Are you really willing to believe all the hype, lies, claims and all the other bs that goes with the MLM network marketing business, in hopes of building some type of better life for you and your family?

11. Do you really want to continue buying leads? Have you simply had it with leads brokers and all their promises about the finest fresh prospecting never before been used leads?

These are questions to be asked if you are considering joining an MLM network marketing company. Most will not do their homeword before they join a business. They simply go blindly into that good night with stars in their eyes, and massive money on their minds. They probably already have a garage or closet full of all types of lotions, potions, gas pills, weight loss products, super jungle juices, vitamins, antioxidant cures and all other types of products that promised rich rewards, but in all actuality, produced nothing but more stuff to store, or to throw away.

If you are tired of the same old, same old, why don't you decide right here and now, that you are no longer going to join something, just because your neighbor thinks its the thing to do for your future. Why don't you build a substantial business the right way with professionals that will teach, train and mentor you, with all the necessary elements that you need to have some success with a home business on Google? Why don't you choose to never buy leads, never make phone calls, never convince or sell anyone anything ever again?
